Welcome to the latest edition of It’s In Our Nature, my regular video diary about nature connection, wellbeing and mindfulness.
This month, I walked up to Chanctonbury Ring in Sussex. It’s a wonderful place, a crown of trees at the top of ridge overlooking the Sussex Weald to the north and the English Channel to the south.
I’ve always experienced an extraordinary energy up there and used it as a place for reflection, meditation and getting perspective.
In this video diary, you’ll see my experience of attempting a mindfulness walk around the ring which had mixed results. In fact I found it quite a struggle. I also talk about a self-created ‘letting go ritual’ which had a powerful effect. The video is longer than last time but I hope the extra length (and depth) are worth the watch.
If you found this video meaningful, are interested in mindfulness and ritual, and would like to explore the idea of counselling outdoors for yourself, why not get in touch?
